Decide height and position on wall. Within the desired mounting location, trace the top outline of the shelf lightly so that it can be erased after installation.
Locate studs (an electronic stud finder is recommended). If you can only secure shelf to one stud, wall anchors are provided to give more stability. When inserting wall anchors slowly screw into wall until flush.
Mark stud location with pencil, use tape measure to confirm center of studs.
Holding shelf open transfer hole alignment to shelf.
Using 1/8” drill bit, drill holes in back of shelf that align with stud locations.
It is recommended to use a level when mounting the shelf.
Place batteries (4) AA into lock. Take the (4) RFID cards out of the shelf, shut the shelf and practice using all the RFID Key Cards.
It is extremely important to disperse RFID Key Cards to different locations such as wallets, key chains, purses, etc. to avoid locking key cards in the box. It is also extremely important to keep the auxiliary battery pack somewhere safe outside of the shelf to ensure that it will be useful in opening the shelf should the batteries inside fail. Change the batteries every 6 months or when you hear the motor is slowing down. If the batteries completely die and the lock will not open, use the battery pack that came with your shelf. It can be inserted in the port located in the bottom of the shelf to power up the lock. (The back up battery pack requires (4) AA batteries not included)
